With the olive oil freshly pressed and ready to be divided, the only sensable way to celebrate was by throwing a pizza party! Fresh sourdough crust and vegetables from the farms…..the harvesters gathered at In The Kitchen to try out the Golden Bear Olive Oil…….a bit peppery and grassy were the words people used to describe this liquid gold!Christina (and baby on the way), Seth, Stella and Amigo Bob from Heaven and Earth Farm….Amigo was our olive oil guru for this adventure.

Joe headed up the pizza making…..this one has local goat cheese, purple potatoes, mushrooms foraged on the ridge and lots of farm greens all topped with the olive oil! The perfect winter pizza!

Masie Ganz, new addition to the Bluebird Farm crew, arrived mid-pizza party as well. She has just finished an internship at Hidden Villa Farm in Los Altos Hills. She is an all-around outstanding person as well as Tim’s sweetheart!
