Agave Nectar Syrup a Fruad?

January 13, 2010

I had a feeling since the sudden appearance of agave nectar that something wasn’t quite right about it all…..it turns out that much of the commercial agave syrup is actually very low-quality and even fraudulent in its claims of being true agave…..

My friend Amigo Bob sent this link to me, check it out from Natural News.

  1. Hi,
I shopped at Safeway this week to check out their line of “O” Organic. The agave nectar was over a dollar more. I don’t know how organic Safeway’s line of products is and especially the dairy. I found olive oil to be a good price and organic canned tomatoes.
I am sorry to hear the agave nectar is questionable because I use it alot in baking and added it to my recipes on my site. I tell Mothers to buy it instead of sugar and recommend it with gluten free baking for children with allergies and who are Autistic. WellnessAnswers.org (google).

  2. Not so.
Agave syrup is the sweetest, most “natural” product you can buy. There is plenty of misinformation. What can be more natural then a piece of organic agave being heated and brought to market without any preservatives of chemical transformations?
