A group has formed in Nevada County with the mission to protect our right to grown, produce and distribute our own foods.

Here is the mission statement of the group:

Our mission is to ensure that citizens are able to buy food from their neighbors, and that government agencies do not infringe on our rights to local commerce and the right to create a contract. We believe that local production is key to a healthy, sustainable, interconnected community. We do not support recent FDA raids on small agricultural operations and we will work to alert the press, and each other so we can, as a united community, witness, protest, and prevent these kinds of threats to our community and local producers.

Recently there have been several armed police raids on CSAs, bulk buying clubs and raw milk pick up sites.
